Home from San Francisco
Just got home from the US. I attended the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Predictive Analytics training in San Francisco. Just as I was getting used to the new timezone, I need to go back home. It was a very rewarding experience – it being my first time to the eMetrics (more to come next year!) and it was my first trip to San Francisco.
The past few months of managing the Web Analytics team made me wonder how we are going to veer away from the label of ‘data cow’. I had this urging in my mind to use the powerful data I have access to to leverage change and optimize our websites. I just wasn’t sure how.
Now, equipped with new tips and strategies I learned from eMetrics, I am set to deploy them one by one. But boy, where to start! I blogged the other day about how political Metrics are. Maybe because it was the one that touches the heart lol. But a lot of things I got from eMetrics touched base. From hunting actionable insights (the holy grail for me) and how to leverage the role of web analytics in the company, exciting times really is coming!
And wow, did I mention I have a great team together? Watch us unfold our talents here at WAP.
