Well, uhm, no, I’m not at the Emetrics, nor in San Jose, not even in California, or the USA! I don’t think I will be there this year (like many people I suppose, due to budget cuts and other pressing priorities like keeping conversion up) but this won’t stop me from craving for real time information on how the Emetrics is turning out. Home from San Francisco
Just got home from the US. I attended the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Predictive Analytics training in San Francisco. Just as I was getting used to the new timezone, I need to go back home. It was a very rewarding experience – it being my first time to the eMetrics (more to come next year!) and it was my first trip to San Francisco. Read more
Metrics are Political
It was Web Analytics Philippines’ first time at the eMetrics and I was half expecting that I would not be able to relate much to the topics due to lack of valuable experience but I was wrong. Most of the sessions I have attended are really useful, I was directly hit. My level of experience was not a factor, all the speakers have internalized their presentations so well that you will really be wrapped up. Read more
Starstruck at the eMetrics
The long, half-of-the-world travel to San Francisco was all worth the effort as the first day of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit proved to be a very memorable one. Aside from the awesome Web Analysts I got to meet and connect with, I was simply too awed to meet THE Avinash Kaushik, author of the phenomenal Occam’s Razor, Web Analytics an Hour a Day, and the Google Analytics Evangelist. I did not attend any of his scheduled breakout sessions that day, but little did I know that fate would have it and it was really meant to be! Read more
